Rohit Pawar opposes delimitation bill, dissent in NCP
Rohit Pawar, a leader from the Nationalist Congress Party (SP), has said he doesn't agree with a new bill called the Delimitation Bill.
He thinks the bill is being made to help the ruling party stay in power, not because it's fair or follows the rules.
Another leader from his party, Supriya Sule, has a different opinion.
She said the party might support the bill if it means more seats in all states.
Rohit Pawar is worried that if they support the bill, the areas where people vote (called constituencies) will be changed to help certain politicians win.
He thinks this is similar to how some cities change their voting areas to benefit certain groups.
Rohit Pawar, NCP (SP) MLA, opposes the delimitation bill.
He believes the bill aims to manipulate constituencies for political gain.
Supriya Sule, another NCP (SP) leader, suggests considering the bill if it increases seats by 50%.
Pawar warns against supporting the bill to avoid political manipulation.
The delimitation bill is a key agenda for the monsoon session of Parliament.
