South Point HS Celebrates 100 Years of Quantum Mechanics
South Point High School is celebrating 100 years of quantum mechanics!
It's a big deal because it's the anniversary of when scientists figured out how the very small things in the world, like atoms, behave.
The school is holding events throughout the year.
Students in Class XI have made posters and models showing off what they know about quantum mechanics, from the beginning to new ideas like quantum computers.
They learned about quantum mechanics with the help of their teachers.
They also celebrated Rabindranath Tagore's birthday and the conversation about quantum mechanics that he had with Einstein.

The United Nations declared 2025 as the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology.
Students exhibited posters and models on various quantum mechanics topics.
The series of programs began with a lecture in May 2025.
