Leopard Sighting Near Turahalli Forest Sparks Panic in Bengaluru

A big wild cat called a leopard was seen walking near houses in a part of Bengaluru city in India.

People spotted the leopard on Monday evening at around 6:30 pm.

It was moving along a road close to a forest area called Turahalli.

People were scared and made loud noises with firecrackers to try to scare it away.

Forest officials came to help catch the leopard safely.

They also put a big cage in the area hoping the leopard would walk into it.

People were asked to stay indoors and not move around the area for safety.

Some residents feel worried and do not want to leave their homes.

This is not the first time a leopard was seen in this area — one was seen about two months ago too.

Everyone hopes the leopard will be safely moved back to the forest.
