Indian Associations Seek Budget Reforms
Two big groups in India, one making small fertilizers and the other making biogas, asked the government for some changes in the budget.
The fertilizer group wants all fertilizers to have the same 5% tax rate and easier licenses to sell their products.
The biogas group wants a big fund of ₹10,000 crore and higher subsidies to make their projects more successful.
They also want to sell special certificates to help the environment.
Both groups say these changes will help farmers and the environment.
Indian Micro-Fertilizers Manufacturers Association seeks uniform 5% GST on all fertilizers.
Indian Biogas Association urges ₹10,000 crore fund and 50% higher subsidy for biogas projects.
Both associations aim to ease working capital stress and promote innovation in their sectors.
Biogas Association proposes 5% FOM blending in fertilizers by 2028, increasing to 10% by 2030.
