Orange Closes Marseille Site Over Crime Fears
Orange, a big phone company in France, is closing one of its offices in Marseille for a while.
This is because there has been a lot of crime in the area, especially from drug gangs.
The French government supports this decision and says more police are needed to fight drug trafficking.
The office has about 1,000 workers.
Another company, BNP Paribas, is also moving some of its workers from a site in Paris because of rising crime.
Orange says the situation in Marseille is very serious and they had to make this decision to keep their employees safe.
Orange is temporarily closing its Marseille site due to rising drug gang-related crime.
The closure is supported by France's employment minister, Jean-Pierre Farandou.
The site employs around 1,000 people and will be closed from Friday to mid-December.
The minister calls for increased police presence to combat drug trafficking.
BNP Paribas is also relocating staff from a Paris site, possibly due to rising crime.
