Bhagwant Mann Uses Discovery Documentary to Reshape Political Image
A documentary about Bhagwant Mann’s life will be shown on Discovery Channel.
It is called Satauj to Sansad.
The program follows him from his village in Punjab to his career as a comedian and then a politician.
It also covers his time in Parliament and his role as chief minister.
Mann has promoted the documentary online.
The film was made before a recent controversy involving a video.
Sikh religious authorities criticized Mann over the video, while Mann denied being the person shown.
Supporters say the documentary tells an inspiring story, but opposition leaders say it is a publicity effort.
Discovery Channel will air Satauj to Sansad on August 30 at 7 pm in seven languages.

Mann shared the documentary’s promotional video on his social media accounts.
