Delhi BJP says PAC chief may seek probe into leaks
Delhi’s Public Accounts Committee is checking how public money was spent on several construction projects.
The Delhi BJP said committee Chairman Ajay Mahawar may ask the Assembly Speaker for an inquiry.
This would concern information from the committee’s meetings appearing on social media.
Mahawar said people who leaked or politicised the information should face action.
The committee is examining construction of staff quarters costing about Rs 60 crore.
It is also checking work at Arvind Kejriwal’s former official home.
The CAG raised questions about construction rates, approvals and an expansion of the building.
