India's Oil Imports Shift, Fuel Prices Decrease
India is adjusting its oil sources, buying more from the U.S. while still getting a lot from Russia.
This is partly because global oil prices have fallen.
Meanwhile, jet fuel prices went down for the third time in a row, lowering costs for airlines.
Also, the price of cooking gas may drop because the price of natural gas inside India went down.
However, the price of cooking gas for homes hasn't changed.
India is increasing oil imports from the US but maintaining significant purchases from Russia.
Jet fuel (ATF) prices were cut by 3% on June 1.
The price of commercial LPG decreased by ₹24 per 19-kg cylinder.
Domestic natural gas prices have fallen to their lowest level since April 2023.
These changes reflect shifts in global energy prices and India's import strategies.
