IRCTC Sues Influencer Over Rail Neer Bromate Claim

IRCTC Sues Influencer Over Rail Neer Bromate Claim

An influencer said a bottle of Rail Neer water had too much bromate in it.

Bromate is a chemical that can form when water is disinfected.

The influencer said testing found 0.084 milligrams per litre.

The limit mentioned in the report was 0.01 milligrams per litre.

IRCTC disagreed with the broader concerns and said it follows safety rules.

It said its factories regularly test the water for chemical and biological safety.

IRCTC has started legal action against the influencer.

More independent testing may help determine what happened with that particular sample.
