Andhra Pradesh Advances Green Energy and Innovation
India is starting to build its first green ammonia project in Andhra Pradesh.
This big project will cost $10 billion and create many jobs.
It will make green ammonia, which is a clean fuel, and send it to other countries like Germany, Japan, and Singapore.
The project will use lots of solar and wind energy and will be built in stages until 2030.
Additionally, the Andhra Pradesh government is setting up a new research centre called AP FIRST in Tirupati to help young people learn new skills and work on innovative ideas in areas like aerospace, defence, and green energy.
This is a big step for India to become a leader in clean energy and innovation.
Construction of India's first green ammonia project begins in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh.
The project, developed by AM Green, represents a $10 billion investment and will create 8,000 jobs during construction.
The project aims to export green ammonia to Germany, Japan, and Singapore, positioning India as a clean-energy exporter.
The complex will have a capacity of 1.5 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) and will be commissioned in phases by 2030.
The project includes 7.5 GW of solar and wind energy, 1,950 MW of electrolyser capacity, and 2 GW of round-the-clock renewable power with pumped hydro storage.
