Karnataka to Provide Free Art Education in Rural Libraries

Karnataka to Provide Free Art Education in Rural Libraries

Rural children in Karnataka will be able to learn about modern art for free.

The lessons will be offered at gram panchayat libraries and Arivu Kendras.

The state’s Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department has made an agreement with the National Gallery of Modern Art in Bengaluru.

The department will help the programme reach local communities.

The gallery will prepare learning materials, share selected digital artworks, and train librarians and other helpers.

India Foundation for the Arts will create the curriculum.

Reriti will check how the programme is working.

The goal is to encourage children’s creativity and help them develop their art skills.
