Centre Mandates Safeguards On OTT Platforms
The Indian government has made new rules for OTT platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime.
These rules say that OTT platforms must put their content into five different age groups.
They also need to have strong parental controls so that kids can't watch stuff that's not right for their age.
If there are any problems, there are three levels to solve them: first the platform, then a group of platforms, and finally the government.
The government also has a fact-checking unit to stop false information.
They can even block websites or social media if they think it's a threat to the country.
The government is also helping Indian creators with different programs to make and show their content.

A three-level grievance redressal system is established for compliance: Publisher, Self-regulating body, Central Government oversight.
Publishers must follow the Programme Code under the Cable Television Networks Act, 1995, and the Press Council of India’s Norms of Journalistic Conduct.
A Fact Check Unit (FCU) was established in November 2019 to verify information related to the Central Government.
The Government can block websites, posts, or social media accounts under Section 69A of the IT Act.
