Uttar Pradesh Approves Free Land For 13 ECHS Polyclinics

The Uttar Pradesh government wants to build more healthcare centers for former soldiers and their families.

The Cabinet approved giving land for these centers without charging for it.

The land will come from village councils and local authorities in 13 districts.

The land will be given to the military authority responsible for building the centers.

These centers will be part of the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme, or ECHS.

ECHS helps eligible former soldiers receive treatment without paying at the time of care.

About 18 lakh ex-servicemen live in Uttar Pradesh.

The new centers are meant to bring medical services closer to their homes.
