Warning Signs May Reveal Hidden Adrenal Tumour Conditions

Warning Signs May Reveal Hidden Adrenal Tumour Conditions

Primary aldosteronism is a condition in which the body makes too much of a hormone called aldosterone.

It is also known as Conn’s syndrome.

An adrenal tumour or another abnormality can sometimes cause it.

Aldosterone helps control blood pressure and potassium levels.

Blood pressure that stays high despite several medicines may be a warning sign.

Unexplained low potassium may provide another clue.

These signs do not prove that someone has an adrenal tumour.

They may show that further medical investigation is needed.
