Karnataka to issue title deeds in 2026
The Karnataka government is going to give special papers called title deeds to 1.10 lakh families in February 2026.
These papers will make them the owners of their houses.
The houses are built on land that belongs to the government, not the families.
The government is doing this because they changed some rules in a law called the Karnataka Land Reforms Act, 2017.
This law now allows people who work in farms and people who are not very rich to become owners of their houses.
The families who will get these papers are mostly from tribal groups like Thanda, Hatti, and Gollarahattis.
