Gujarat's Girnar Lili Parikrama Cancelled Due to Heavy Rain
A big religious walk around a mountain in Gujarat, called the Girnar Lili Parikrama, has been called off.
This walk usually happens every year for a few days in November.
But because it has been raining a lot, the organizers decided it wasn't safe to have everyone walk.
The weather forecast also said there might be more rain and thunderstorms.
However, some religious leaders will still do a very short, symbolic version of the walk.
The annual 36-km Girnar Lili Parikrama pilgrimage in Gujarat has been cancelled.
The cancellation is due to heavy rainfall and a forecast of continued rain and thunderstorms.
The pilgrimage was scheduled to take place from November 2 to 5.
Junagadh District Collector Anil Ranavasiya announced the cancellation on Friday.
Religious seers will perform a symbolic circumambulation on Saturday night.
