CBI Books Mumbai Railway Official Over Alleged Monthly Bribe Demand

The CBI is investigating a railway official named Ashish Yadav.

A salon owner said Yadav demanded money from him every month.

The money was allegedly demanded to stop railway authorities from demolishing the salon.

The first amount mentioned was ₹20,000 per month.

The alleged amount was later reduced to ₹8,000 per month.

The salon owner did not want to pay and complained to the CBI.

The CBI checked the complaint on August 21.

It then registered a case under an anti-corruption law, but the allegations have not been proven in court.
