Dalit Colony in Visakhapatnam Faces Water Crisis
There is a big problem in a place called Ambedkar Dalit Colony in Visakhapatnam.
For more than 15 days, the people living there have not had clean drinking water.
The water from their taps is dirty, and they have been asking the authorities to fix the problem.
They even had a protest to make their voices heard.
The authorities sent a water tanker, but it was only enough for a few families.
The people are very upset and want the authorities to send more water tankers until the problem is fixed.
They say the tankers are only sent when the media is around, not to really help them.
The leaders of the protest are asking for clean water to be supplied through the taps again.
Ambedkar Dalit Colony in Arundhati village, Visakhapatnam, has no clean drinking water for over 15 days.
Residents rely on household taps connected to a village tank, but have been receiving muddy water.
Villagers have protested and demanded regular water tanker supply until the tank is cleaned.
A water tanker arrived but was only sufficient for 30 families, with sporadic supply since.
Residents allege tankers are sent only for media coverage, not to address their actual needs.
