Mahindra & Mahindra Q1 Profit Up 7%, SUV Sales Strong
Mahindra & Mahindra, a big Indian company that makes cars and farm machines, earned more money in the first quarter of 2027 than it did a year before.
They sold a lot of SUVs, which helped their profits rise.
Their farm equipment sales also grew, but the profit margin on tractors went down because of higher material costs.
The company still expects SUV sales to grow a lot and tractor sales to grow a bit more next year.
They plan to build more cars each month, almost doubling their production capacity by 2031.
Mahindra & Mahindra reported a 7% YoY rise in standalone net profit to Rs 3,685 crore for Q1 FY27.
Automotive revenue grew 24.4% YoY to Rs 31,033 crore, with SUV sales up 15% to 175,000 units.
Farm equipment revenue increased 19.2% YoY to Rs 10,947 crore, though tractor margins fell 150 basis points to 19.2%.
Company maintains FY27 outlook, expecting SUV volumes to grow in high teens and tractor sales in mid-single digits.
Mahindra plans to nearly double monthly vehicle production capacity by FY31, expanding SUV and EV manufacturing.
