UPSIDA to Power Industrial Zones with Solar Energy
Uttar Pradesh is adding more solar power to its industrial areas.
The Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) is building 13 new solar power plants to make industrial zones cleaner and cheaper to run.
They already have a solar plant in Kanpur.
They are also installing solar lights to make the areas well-lit.
This is part of a plan to use clean energy, reduce pollution, and lower costs.
UPSIDA is installing solar power plants in industrial zones across Uttar Pradesh.
The initiative aligns with the state's Solar Energy Policy 2022.
Thirteen new sites have been identified for solar plant installations.
A 150-kilowatt solar plant was set up at the UPSIDA headquarters in Kanpur.
