Rico Dowdle Steps Up as Panthers Face Dolphins Without Hubbard
The Carolina Panthers' running back, Chuba Hubbard, got hurt and can't play against the Miami Dolphins.
This means Rico Dowdle, who was backup, will start in his place.
Dowdle signed a contract with the Panthers for a good amount of money.
The rookie, Trevor Etienne, will help out as well.
Hubbard had been a key player for the team, and this change means the Panthers will have a different approach to their running game.
Dowdle hopes to make the most of his chance to help the team.
Chuba Hubbard is out for the game against the Dolphins due to a calf injury.
Rico Dowdle, formerly with the Cowboys, will start as running back.
Hubbard led the team with 217 yards on 53 carries this season.
Dowdle signed a one-year, $3 million deal with the Panthers.
Rookie Trevor Etienne is expected to be Dowdle's backup.
