NIA Arrests Doctor in Red Fort Blast Case
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested a doctor named Dr. Bilal Naseer Malla from Baramulla in Jammu and Kashmir.
He is accused of helping a suicide bomber named Dr. Umar-un-Nabi, who drove a car filled with explosives that blew up near the Red Fort in Delhi on November 10.
This explosion killed 15 people and injured many others.
The NIA says Dr. Malla provided logistical support to the bomber and helped destroy evidence.
The court has allowed the NIA to keep Dr. Malla in custody for seven days to continue their investigation.
This is part of a bigger case involving a group of doctors and others who are suspected of being involved in terrorist activities.
The NIA is working with other police agencies to find out more about this group and their plans.
The NIA arrested Dr. Bilal Naseer Malla from Baramulla for allegedly harbouring the Red Fort suicide bomber and providing logistical support.
Dr. Malla is the eighth accused arrested in connection with the 'white collar' terror module linked to the Delhi car blast.
