Kakinada Hub Aims to Create Jobs and Entrepreneurs

A new centre is being planned in Kakinada to help young people learn useful work skills.

Rajya Sabha member Sana Satish said the hub aims to help 1,000 young people get jobs and support 100 people in starting businesses each year.

The first part is a skill centre at the Government ITI campus.

Its construction is budgeted at ₹5.30 crore, while the whole hub is estimated to cost ₹15–20 crore.

The centre is expected to offer training, mentoring and a digital library.

It will also help people find information about government schemes.

A later phase is planned to include a hostel for students who live far away.

The project is also intended to connect training with the needs of nearby industries.
