Telecom PLI Scheme Sees Growth Despite Uneven Incentive Claims
Imagine the government wants to boost the telecom industry in India, so they created a special plan called PLI.
They offer money to companies that make telecom products, like phones and internet equipment, to encourage them to produce more in India.
The plan has led to lots of sales, exports, and jobs.
Although, not all companies have received money from the government yet, but they are still investing and producing.
This plan has helped India make its own equipment, making it less dependent on other countries.
The government is happy with the plan so far and expects it to grow even more.
The DoT is expected to give a positive assessment of the Telecom PLI scheme.
Half of the approved companies have yet to claim incentives.
The scheme has generated significant investment, output, and exports.
Cumulative sales reached Rs 91,125 crore as of July 31, 2025.
