BMTC Launches Faster AC Bus on NICE Road
The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) is starting a new air-conditioned (AC) bus service on NICE Road.
This service will go from Madavara in North Bengaluru to Electronic City in South Bengaluru.
The trip takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes, which is faster than taking the Metro.
The Metro takes at least 2 hours and requires changing lines.
The new AC bus service will run from 6:30 am to 7:30 pm every day, with a bus every 30 minutes.
The fare for the full journey is Rs 110, which includes the toll.
BMTC says this service is an extra option for commuters and not a replacement for the Metro.
They will watch how well it works before making any changes.
