JLL Opens Hyderabad Global Capability Centre; Telangana Adds 150 GCCs
A big company called JLL opened a new office in Hyderabad, a city in India.
The office is very large — it covers 1.2 lakh square feet.
This kind of office is called a 'global capability centre,' which means it helps the company do important work from India.
Around 1,600 people will work there over the next two years.
They will help with jobs like finance, human resources, project management and technology.
JLL chose Hyderabad because the city has very smart and talented workers.
The state's IT minister, D. Sridhar Babu, said Telangana has welcomed about 150 such centres in the last 20 months.
Those centres have created about 1.5 lakh new technology jobs.
The state wants to keep making good jobs for the future.
JLL inaugurated a 1.2 lakh sq ft global capability centre (GCC) in Hyderabad's Financial District on Wednesday.
The centre, established for JLL Business Services, is designed to scale to about 1,600 employees over the next two years.
It will deliver finance, HR, project management, lease administration, analytics and technology-enabled services for JLL's global operations.
Telangana IT minister D. Sridhar Babu said the state has welcomed nearly 150 GCCs, creating nearly 1.5 lakh high-value technology jobs in the last 20 months.
JLL called Hyderabad a 'strategic and deliberate' choice, citing its talent pool and AI-enabled workflows under the Accelerate 2030 strategy.
