Indian Gen Z Sees Little Meaning in Independence Day Freedom

Indian Gen Z Sees Little Meaning in Independence Day Freedom

A young person in India was asked what Independence Day means to them.

They said it does not feel very meaningful to them yet.

They think India is still not truly free.

They see politicians and police doing dishonest things.

They also think the education system is broken for many children.

They believe people should not be afraid to speak their minds or do what is right.

The young person says politicians only care about people around election time.

They worry that crimes against women still happen even though leaders talk about women's safety.

Even so, they still feel proud of their country and the saying 'Saare Jahan Se Achha Hindustan Hamara.'
