Bengal Police Arrest Rejinagar Bypoll Candidate in 2021 Clash Case

The arrest came a day after Congress Nandigram candidate Milan Pradhan was detained in an older land-acquisition protest case.
Police also directed Aam Janata Unnayan Party leader Humayun Kabir to appear in a case alleging a conspiracy to inflame tensions between communities.
A party state secretary and another man were arrested in Murshidabad while allegedly carrying counterfeit currency and illegal arms, police said.
