SVIMS Launches Diabetic Foot Clinic
The Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) has started a new clinic in Tirupati to help people with diabetes take care of their feet.
This clinic is run by doctors from different departments like endocrinology, general surgery, and cardiothoracic surgery.
They want to find foot problems early and treat them quickly.
The clinic will be open every Tuesday from 2 PM to 4 PM.
Dr. Hari Prasad is in charge of the clinic and has special training in foot care.
If you have diabetes and notice things like numbness, wounds, or swelling in your feet, it's important to see a doctor right away.
High blood sugar can hurt your nerves and blood vessels, which can cause big problems if not treated.
SVIMS launched a Diabetic Foot Clinic at Tirupati Hospital to provide specialized care for diabetes-related foot complications.
The clinic is supervised by the departments of endocrinology, general surgery, and cardiothoracic surgery.
Dr. Hari Prasad, a professor in general surgery, heads the clinic and has specialized training in podiatry and diabetic foot care.
The clinic operates daily from 2 PM to 4 PM from January 27 to February 3, and every Tuesday thereafter.
Patients are advised to seek immediate medical attention for symptoms like numbness, non-healing wounds, or swelling in the feet.
