Centre Rejects Mamata's Claims of Bengali Evictions in Delhi
The Chief Minister of West Bengal said that Bengali-speaking people were being kicked out of their homes in Delhi.
She said that water and electricity were being cut off.
However, the central government said this wasn't true.
A member of parliament asked the government about it.
The government replied that no one was being evicted, and they hadn't received any complaints about utilities being shut off.
They did mention that two houses had their electricity turned off because a court told them to.
Other politicians from the BJP said that the Chief Minister was spreading false information.
Mamata Banerjee claimed Bengali speakers were being evicted in Delhi; the government denied this.
A TMC MP questioned the government about alleged evictions in Vasant Kunj.
The government stated no eviction drive occurred and received no written complaints of water or electricity disconnections.
