CPI(M) Demands Arrests After Attack on Kallakurichi Leaders

Four members of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) were attacked while traveling in Kallakurichi district.

The attack happened on the night of August 21 near Kiliyur village.

The party said eight people stopped them and damaged their car and party flag.

It also said the attackers hurt the people inside the car.

The injured members went to a hospital and later returned home.

The party believes the attack was connected to a local protest about housing funds.

Those funds were allegedly meant to build 22 houses under a government scheme.

The party wants police to arrest everyone involved.
