AIFF faces Brazil friendly clash with ASEAN Cup final

AIFF faces Brazil friendly clash with ASEAN Cup final

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) runs football in India, and it wants India's national team to play a special friendly match against Brazil, one of the best football teams in the world.

But that match is planned in Kolkata on October 3, the same day as the final of a big tournament called the FIFA ASEAN Cup.

India cannot play in two places at the same time, so the federation thought it could send two separate teams.

FIFA, the organization that makes the rules for world football, says a country is not allowed to send a weak or second-string team to one of its tournaments.

A famous Indian football icon, Bhaichung Bhutia, also said India should send its best team to the ASEAN Cup.

The AIFF is now waiting to hear what FIFA decides about this plan.

It is also looking at other friendly matches so the national team still gets practice.

If India pulls out of the ASEAN Cup, it could face punishment and have to pay a fine.

The AIFF hopes to solve the problem while giving Indian players the most chances to play top teams.
