L&T Silent on MMRDA Request After Supreme Court Hearing
The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) is waiting for a response from Larsen & Toubro (L&T), a big construction company.
L&T shared some cost estimates in court about building roads and tunnels.
MMRDA wants to know the details behind these costs to make sure everything is fair.
L&T hasn't replied yet, even though they were asked to share documents supporting their claims.
The Supreme Court already rejected L&T's challenge to their disqualification from the projects.
MMRDA wants to use L&T's numbers to help set new prices for the projects and start the bidding process again.
Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has not responded to MMRDA's request for financial estimates.
MMRDA requested the information after L&T presented cost estimates in Supreme Court.
L&T had bid for an underground tunnel at Rs 6,498 crore and an elevated road at Rs 5,554 crore.
The Supreme Court rejected L&T's petition after MMRDA cancelled and re-tendered the projects.
MMRDA aims to use the figures to assess and potentially benchmark in the new bidding process.
