Teacher Merit List Published; 300 Uncertain
The School Service Commission in West Bengal has published a merit list for teachers who were sacked but found to be untainted.
Out of 8,300 teachers who were interviewed, around 300 might not get jobs as they are at the bottom of the waiting list.
The list includes 10,000 teachers who are sure to get jobs, and the rest are on a waiting list.
The commission will announce the schedule for counselling on January 27.
Additionally, the government has scheduled selection tests for non-teaching posts in government-aided schools on March 1 for Group C and March 8 for Group D, aiming to complete the process before the upcoming Assembly elections.
