Kerala Introduces Permanent Nativity Cards

Kerala Introduces Permanent Nativity Cards

The Kerala government has decided to create a new ID card called a nativity card.

This card will have a photo and will help people prove that they live in Kerala.

The Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, announced this decision.

The card will be issued by local officials called Tahsildars.

The government wants to make sure people have a legal document to show they are residents of the state.

This is to help people who have trouble proving they live in India or are permanent residents.

The card will be permanent and can be used for a lifetime, unlike the current nativity certificates that need to be obtained repeatedly.
