Flying Wedge Secures $25M Order for Combat Aircraft
A company in India called Flying Wedge just got a $30 million order to supply defense technology.
Most of that money will go to their flying robot plane, the FWD Kaala Bhairav.
This plane is made in India, and uses mostly Indian-made parts.
The plane can stay in the air for a long time, up to 30 hours, and can travel a long distance, about 3,000 kilometers.
The company's boss wants India to make its own military tech, to avoid relying on other countries for defense.
FWDA received a $30 million order from a South Asian nation.
$25 million of the order is for the FWD Kaala Bhairav combat aircraft.
The Kaala Bhairav is designed and manufactured in India.
It has an indigenisation rate of 80% and can fly for up to 30 hours.
The CEO emphasized the need for self-reliance in defense tech.
