Gaza death toll exceeds 70,000
Two young brothers in Gaza were killed by an Israeli attack while they were collecting wood to help their father.
Their family is very sad, and many people are upset because the brothers were just children.
This happened even though there was supposed to be a ceasefire, or a promise to stop fighting, between Israel and Hamas.
Since the ceasefire started, many people have still been hurt or killed.
The fighting began after a big attack by Hamas in Israel last year.
Many people are hoping for peace, but it's been very hard to achieve.
The total number of people killed in Gaza has now passed 70,000, according to the health ministry.
Some people question if this number is accurate, but the U.N. says it believes the figures are credible.
Two Palestinian children, Fadi and Goma Abu Assi, were killed by an Israeli attack while gathering firewood in southern Gaza.
The children's uncle stated that an Israeli drone fired on them, with no immediate response from the Israeli military.
At least 354 Palestinians and 3 Israeli soldiers have been killed since the ceasefire began on October 10.
Israel's offensive in Gaza has resulted in over 70,100 Palestinian deaths, according to Gaza health officials.
The conflict began after a Hamas-led attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, which killed 1,200 people and took about 250 hostages to Gaza.
