EPFO Releases August Pension In Kerala Ahead Of Onam
EPFO usually sends monthly pensions at the end of each month.
This time, it sent the August 2026 pension earlier to pensioners in Kerala.
The money was deposited on August 26.
The early payment was planned because Onam was coming soon.
Onam is an important festival for the people receiving the pension.
A total of 4,40,901 pensioners received the payment.
The money went directly into their bank accounts.
EPFO said the arrangement would help families celebrate without financial trouble.
EPFO credited August 2026 pensions to 4,40,901 pensioners in the Keralam Zone on August 26.
The early payment was arranged ahead of the Onam celebrations.
Monthly pensions under the Employees’ Pension Scheme, 1995, are ordinarily paid at the end of each month.
Payments were transferred directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts through the Centralized Pension Payment System.
The Ministry of Labour and Employment said the move would help pensioners and their families meet financial needs during the festival.
