Eureka Forbes probes supplier after child labour found in Delhi

Eureka Forbes probes supplier after child labour found in Delhi

Some big companies make things like water purifiers, electrical equipment, and daily products.

To make these things, big companies often buy parts from smaller companies.

A small company in Delhi called YY Harness makes electrical wiring and parts.

Police found children working at this small company.

The children were between 14 and 16 years old, and children are not allowed to work.

The children said they worked six days a week and earned between $105 and $125 every month.

A special group called the National Human Rights Commission protects people's rights in India.

It asked three big companies — Eureka Forbes, Havells, and Hindustan Unilever — to check if children were working anywhere in their supply chains.

Eureka Forbes said it would investigate right away.

Hindustan Unilever said the small company was not its business partner.
