80 Kailash Manasarovar Group Members Remain Unaccounted After Nepal Floods

Flash floods hit an area near the Nepal-Tibet border where a Kailash Manasarovar group was traveling.

The Isha Foundation says 77 participants and three volunteers still cannot be accounted for.

This means officials do not yet know what happened to them.

The update was released two weeks after the floods.

Authorities are still searching and identifying people at the site.

People who are not official workers are not allowed near the area.

About 25 Nepali volunteers are checking hospitals, mortuaries and government offices for information.

The foundation is sharing documents and updates with families and officials.

It says families will receive verified information before anything is publicly released.
