Farmers Receive New Technology Training for Paddy Cultivation

Farmers Receive New Technology Training for Paddy Cultivation

Farmers in Nunna village attended a lesson about growing paddy more effectively.

Scientists and agriculture officials explained how to manage nutrients, water and crop diseases.

They said some fields were short of potassium and zinc.

Farmers were given instructions for using nutrient sprays to help the plants.

They were also encouraged to use bio-fertilisers and reduce chemical fertiliser use by up to 20 percent.

Farmers with little water were taught a method called alternate wetting and drying.

Other advice covered pests and diseases that can damage rice plants.

The programme was attended by officials, scientists, local representatives and farmers.
