Bangalore Hotels Threaten Swiggy Boycott Over Payment Dispute
The Bangalore Hotels Association says that Swiggy, a food‑delivery app, is taking too much money from hotel orders and charging extra fees without telling the hotels.
The hotels want Swiggy to show all charges clearly and stop taking money they don’t agree with.
If Swiggy doesn’t fix the problem in 15 days, the hotels will stop using the app from August 15.
The hotels say they will still serve customers but will find other ways to deliver food.
Swiggy has not yet responded to the complaint.
Bangalore Hotels Association warns it will suspend business with Swiggy from August 15 if payment issues are not resolved.
Hotels complain Swiggy deducts advertising, promotional, and other charges without written consent.
The association demands separate disclosure of all charges, including commission, GST, and advertising fees.
Hotels claim they receive less than 50% of billed order value due to deductions, causing financial hardship.
Swiggy has not yet responded; the association will decide on suspension after August 15.
