Khammam to Hold Village, Ward Meetings During Electoral Revision
Khammam district will hold meetings in villages and wards on August 27.
The meetings will take place at all polling stations.
They are part of a review of the voter lists.
Some voters will receive notices because their records have an “anomaly” or have “no mapping.”
About 1,76,135 voters may receive these notices.
Booth-level workers will visit homes and explain what the notices mean.
They will also help eligible people understand the process.
The goal is to make sure eligible citizens remain on the voter lists.
Village and ward meetings will be held at every polling station in Khammam district on August 27.
The meetings are part of Phase-2 of the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls for 2026.
Notices will be issued to voters listed under the “anomalies” and “no mapping” categories.
A total of 1,76,135 voters across five Assembly constituencies are expected to receive notices.
Booth-level officials and Congress workers were asked to explain notices and help protect eligible citizens’ voting rights.
