Karnataka Revenue Inspector Faces Arrest Over Fake Certificate

Karnataka Revenue Inspector Faces Arrest Over Fake Certificate

A government officer is accused of making a false income certificate.

The certificate allegedly made a wealthy family appear eligible for a reserved government job category.

It was reportedly used by Suma Sahukar, the daughter of a former Karnataka Public Service Commission chairman.

She was selected for an industrial extension officer position.

A court has already given Suma protection from arrest before trial.

However, the revenue inspector who allegedly issued the certificate did not receive the same protection.

This means police may now arrest him.

The former KPSC chairman has also been suspended.

Investigators are examining several other alleged problems in government recruitment exams.
