Kushner, Sisi discuss Gaza ceasefire as Israeli strikes resume
There is a big peace plan to stop the fighting in Gaza.
Important leaders are meeting to talk about it.
Jared Kushner, who works for the US President, met with Egypt's leader to discuss the plan.
Other helpers met with leaders from Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey.
The plan says the fighting should stop and Hamas should give up its weapons.
But Israel is still doing airstrikes in Gaza.
These strikes hurt some people, and one person died.
Hamas says Israel is not following the rules of the ceasefire.
The ceasefire stopped the big war but not all the fighting.
Leaders are trying to make everyone follow the plan so the war does not start again.
Trump envoys Jared Kushner and Nickolay Mladenov met Egyptian, Qatari and Turkish mediators in Cairo on Sunday to advance the US Gaza peace plan.
Kushner met Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in El-Alamein to discuss implementing the Gaza ceasefire.
Israel resumed airstrikes in Gaza, targeting militants in Khan Younis and Nuseirat, injuring several Palestinians; one injured person later died.
Hamas leader Khalil Al-Hayya met Egyptian intelligence chief Hassan Rashad in Cairo to brief mediators on alleged Israeli ceasefire violations.
Israeli fire has killed more than 1,250 Palestinians in Gaza since the October ceasefire, while four Israeli soldiers were killed by militants, according to Israeli figures.
