NCLAT Declines Stay, HNG Resolution Plan Proceeds
Imagine a company called HNG that was having some financial trouble.
A plan was made to help it, like a recovery plan.
The NCLT, a special court, approved this plan, but some people didn't like it and appealed to a higher court called the NCLAT.
The NCLAT decided not to stop the plan while it reviewed the appeals.
This means the company's recovery process can continue as planned.
The plan was made by another company called INSCO, which wants to invest money to help HNG.
The NCLAT will hear all the arguments and make a final decision on October 9, 2025.
Meanwhile, INSCO will keep working on the plan as approved by the NCLT.
So, the company is still being helped, and the court will have the final say.
NCLAT declined to stay the NCLT's order approving the HNG resolution plan.
The NCLAT admitted appeals challenging the resolution plan.
The resolution plan was approved by the NCLT on August 14, 2025, following directions from the Supreme Court.
INSCO's resolution plan involves a ₹2,200 crore investment.
NCLAT will hear the appeals on October 9, 2025.
