21 Detained Bangladeshis from Mangaluru to Be Handed Over

Police in Mangaluru detained 21 people identified as Bangladeshi nationals.

The detentions happened during police checks at construction sites in July.

Police suspect the people may have entered or stayed illegally.

A team of 30 police officers will escort them to West Bengal.

They will travel first by bus to Bengaluru.

From there, they will take a train to Malda on August 23.

The group is expected to be handed over to the Border Security Force by August 26.

Police also arrested three people accused of helping bring the Bangladeshi nationals to Mangaluru.
