Greek Wildfires, Hungarian Nuclear Plant Shut Amid Drought

Greek Wildfires, Hungarian Nuclear Plant Shut Amid Drought

A big fire in Greece burned more than 100 homes near Athens and forced people to leave the island of Kefalonia.

About 500 firefighters from Greece, France, and Romania worked to stop the blaze.

In Hungary, the Danube River was very low because of a heatwave, so the only nuclear power plant had to shut down for the first time in 40 years.

The drought and heat made many places in Europe very dry and dangerous.

People are worried about the water and the risk of more fires.
