India Launches National Aviation Safety Centre, Boosts DGCA and AAIB Manpower
India is making its skies safer for flying!
They are creating a new National Aviation Safety Centre to help improve how they watch over flying safety.
Think of it like a special school for aviation safety.
They are also going to hire twice as many people to work for the government groups that make sure planes and flying are safe.
These groups are called the DGCA and the AAIB.
This means more people to check that everything is up to par.
India is also planning to offer special training courses about how to check if flying is safe, following rules from a big international group called ICAO.
These steps are happening because India's flying safety score has gotten much better, and they want to keep it that way as they plan to build many more airports.
India is establishing a National Aviation Safety Centre to bolster its aviation safety ecosystem.
Manpower for the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) is set to double.
Universal Safety Oversight Audit Programme (USOAP) auditor courses will be launched at the Rajiv Gandhi National Aviation University.
India's ICAO safety oversight score improved to 85% in 2025, enhancing its global rank.
The measures aim to align India's aviation safety standards with global benchmarks amidst planned sector expansion.
