Nagarjuna Sagar Reservoir Sees Heavy Inflow, Releases Water
A lot of water is flowing into the Nagarjuna Sagar reservoir.
Because of this, the people in charge are letting water out through the gates.
They have lifted some gates to let the water out faster.
They're also using the water to make electricity, and they're keeping a close watch on everything to make sure the dam and the areas downstream stay safe.
Nagarjuna Sagar Project is experiencing heavy water inflows.
Authorities have raised 20 crest gates to release water downstream.
Crest gates raised by 5 ft, with 2 gates raised by 10 ft.
Approximately 2,09,632 cusecs of water is being released downstream.
Hydropower generation continues at the hydroelectric station.
